Whirligiggles Creamery is a “Nana and Papa” Shop! Betty is a recently retired high school history teacher, who spent (and absolutely loved) thirty-three years in education, and Howard has worked for a national ice cream company as an Area Manager for thirty-one years. Our new, state-of-the-art trailer has been built with the express purpose of serving the best hand-dipped ice cream, shakes, stuffed shakes, waffle boats, and sundaes. We will also be offering other delicious treats, such as hand-squeezed lemonade, frosted lemonade, and popcorn. We are excited to begin this new adventure of bringing goodness and giggles to all!
Why are we called Whirligiggles Creamery?
We have one granddaughter, Charlotte. Since we live in Wilson, North Carolina – the home of the famous Whirligig Park – she asks each time that she visits to go and to see the “Whirligiggles”! She has been to the park hundreds of times at this point, but she still looks in awe and squeals in delight. We simply could not be called anything else.
